Products That Changed my Life
Do you ever struggle when packing beauty products for a trip? It can be difficult to keep your products to a minimum but luckily, I have a couple products that I always throw in my bag. These suggestions are coming from a thrifty girl that thinks she can find inexpensive alternatives to everything. For that reason, you should all trust that I am steering you in the right direction. To me, nothing can beat these finds. I discovered these products from my favorite influencers, beauty subscription boxes, or birthday gifts from Sephora.
1. the Brazilian Bum Bum cream by Sol de Janeiro
The Brazilian Bum Bum cream has been my go-to lotion for years. I came across it when I was given my beauty insider birthday gift from Sephora a few years back. The scent is to die for, it lasts for hours, and I always get so many compliments whenever I wear it. I swear the scent will put you in vacation mode. Who wants a thin, slimy lotion? The answer is obviously no one. The consistency is Ideal because it’s thick enough to be moisturizing but not too thick where it’s hard to rub in. This product will always be on my holiday wish list.
2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
One of my favorite influencers, Maggie Macdonald, put me on the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. It took me a while to try it out because I usually do not spend $22 on chapstick. In the past, I’ve always leaned towards brands like Burt’s Bees or Aquaphor. I am in love with this product because I prefer my chapstick to be on the thicker side, so I know it’s not going to wipe straight off when I take a sip of my kombucha. This product gives me hydrated lips with a subtle shine. I like to use it during both the daytime and nighttime. I also want to note that I finished my first tub of this mask. This should tell you how much I genuinely love it because I have never finished the same lip product in my 21 years of life. I find that when I use it consistently, I am confident in the way my lips look and feel.
3. The Original Makeup Eraser
Am I the only one that has never been able to find the perfect makeup wipe? I have always struggled with make-up removal products because almost every brand I’ve tried has irritated my eyes or made my skin feel raw. If this sounds like something you have a hard time with then I have the product for you. I suggest that you try out The Original Makeup eraser. I received a sample version of this product in my Sephora box a few years ago. It is essentially a reusable piece of cloth that gently removes your makeup. I love this product because it doesn’t feel like I’m scrubbing my face with sandpaper, rubbing chemicals into my eyes, or messing with my contact lenses. I just throw it in the washing machine after a few uses instead of throwing the usual makeup wipes away. This product is a great investment.
All in all, I’m a girl who loves a bargain. Therefore, it took me a while to get on board with these products because of the prices. Here’s what you need to do: go take a long hot shower, take your makeup off with the makeup eraser, slather yourself head-to-toe in Brazilian bum bum cream, and coat your lips in the Laneige lip sleeping mask. Trust me, you will feel refreshed and relaxed. Adding little things like this into my daily life has significantly reduced my stress and boosted my self-care time even with a busy schedule. I can promise you that I am not going back to life before I found these products.
