2021 F/W Beauty Trends

2021 F/W Beauty Trends

It is still humid and hot outside, but September has arrived and Fall is shortly on it’s way. While some of you may miss the times of open-toed shoes and pastel clothing,  I can’t wait to have fun with styling a multitude of layers for Fall and Winter;  this could be the season for you to become a fabulous fashionista! Let’s take a sneak peek at the Fall and Winter beauty trends in 2021 and prepare ready for the upcoming season.

1. Blunt Bang

The Blunt Bang, which falls straight across the forehead hiding the eyebrow, was prominent throughout this past runway season. These bangs are cut with no feathering, creating heavy volume. This heavy, thick fringe presents various looks depending on different styling techniques. At Givenchy, the model dyed the ends of the blunt bang khaki giving off untamed vibes. At Fendi, blunt bangs mixed with the dark colors of the long suits create an edgy look.

2. Mullet Hair

The Mullet, also known as the Wolf Cut, is coming back. The mullet hair is featured by cutting the hair short at the front and sides of the face, revealing the facial line, but keeping it longer at the back like a tail. It was popular in the 1980s, but some schools banned this hair style at that time because it looks untidy. With the post-vaccination period, however, people are craving a new hairstyle. They may want something new to express themselves in these unknown times, and the mullet, now more than ever, has sparked new waves of confidence within the fashion industry.

3. Bold Lips

Red, bold lips were seen a lot on the runways. This trend of makeup naturally reveals skin imperfections, but this Fall, bold lips were used to highlight natural makeup looks and models’ unique features. At Salvatore Ferragamo, red lips were overlined with shining silver showing the look of “The Future.” Models had low saturation of burnt red lips at Bibhu Mohapatra. Although, putting on a bold lip seems pointless in this day-and-age, while wearing masks and staying home, a new variety of normal makeup trends are ready to be opened back up. Bold lips are done waiting to have their moment again, and claim their time to shine now.
