Pantone Inspired Summer Fashion

Pantone Inspired Summer Fashion

By being the owner of a new online boutique, I have recently learned to be creative with new releases and collections. A few months ago, I wondered how I could create a fun summer collection that could also be educational to different trends. I came across a Pantone trend report that highlighted different colors that were seen during New York Fashion Week, and bingo, I had found my inspiration for a new collection.

I had chosen to feature five of the colors mentioned in Pantone’s trend report, three being trendy for the season, and two being summer classics. Tangelo, Classic Green, and Crystal Rose are the three trending colors I chose to work with, while Skylight and Vanilla Cream are summer classics that I decided to incorporate into this summer collection.

Now, diving deeper into each color, I will start with Crystal Rose. This shade of pink is such a fun color to incorporate to your wardrobe this summer. It is a color that can be seen all over the fashion marketplace in various forms such as dresses, pants, accessories, and more. I have noticed that this shade has been featured on pieces that play with fun textures, appliques, and materials. It’s the perfect color to bring out that summer tan that I know you work so hard for, even if it’s fake (like mine ;)).

Classic Green is just like its name: classic. This shade of green is bright and fun, yet elegant. It is an eye-catcher for sure. This color can be seen anywhere from streetwear to red carpet gowns. You can pair it with other colors to add color variety to your look, or even wear it monochrome!

Tangelo, a fun bright shade of orange, is another perfect color for summer. This color is so great for resort wear, dresses, and so much more! Like Classic Green, Tangelo also looks great in a monochrome look- you can dress head to toe in this shade and it will look stunning! I guess you can say orange is the new black!

Moving onto the classics, let’s start with Skylight. The perfect light blue. This color is so simple, yet graceful. This is another color that is perfect for every occasion- whether it be loungewear or something more formal.

Last, but not least, Vanilla Cream. This is the perfect neutral color to tie in with all the colors I just mentioned! It goes with almost everything! I added this color to my boutique collection because I needed something to tie in all the bright colors that I chose. Not only is this a summer classic, but it can be brought into the fall and winter and be worn in forms of sweaters, pants, and outerwear! Adding this color to your closet is a staple and it will not go out of style- perfect for a capsule wardrobe!

In all, I have loved working on my summer collection! It has been fun educating both myself and my audience about summer trends and I hope this post gave you a bit of insight into what colors to look for when shopping this season!
