My Favorite Places to Shop This Spring

My Favorite Places to Shop This Spring

Spring is finally here, and to celebrate, let's talk about some of the best places to shop for your wardrobe this season. I have to say, I enjoy dressing up for colder weather much more than warmer weather, and when spring and summer come around, I'm occasionally left looking longingly at the jackets and sweaters hanging in my closet. Not only do I love wearing a jacket as a shirt, but my boots are my most prized possessions. But here's the thing: In 2025, I want to be just as excited to dress for spring and summer as I am for fall and winter, so, alas, here I am to get excited with you and slowly build my mental Pinterest board. It's out with the old and in with the new, goodbye skies of grey and hello skies of blue. Let's dive right into a couple of my personal favorite places to shop this spring and get the ball rolling on our warm wardrobe inspiration.

To start, I have been on a Sezane kick lately. I love the earthy tones and pops of color in their collections and the way they emphasize femininity while simultaneously offering hints of masculinity. Lately, I feel like the word chic is thrown around a lot, but Sezane is one brand that encapsulates chic-ness to a core. They are a Parisian dream; if Sezane were a person, I would want to be her. Sezane has grown rapidly since the birth of the brand in 2013. What was once a fashion company solely online has now expanded to having multiple flagship stores worldwide. I got a wallet from Sezane for one of my sisters this past Christmas, and the packaging was absolutely beautiful. I was immediately transported to another country and mentally strolled the streets of Paris, listening to birds chirp. Honestly. After browsing their website and looking at their new spring collections, I picked a few of my favorite pieces that are definitely going on my birthday wishlist.

Alright, now let's talk about COS. I recently visited their store in SOHO and snagged myself a nice striped tee (I will never not be a striped girl). I was pleasantly surprised by their spring collection and even more by the price tag. As we all know, butter yellow is the season's color, and I was very curious to see how brands would incorporate this color into their pieces. COS, you've done butter-yellow justice with your new linen-blend suit. Hats off to you. Look no further if you're searching to build your wardrobe essentials with understated elegance. One note on understated elegance is the importance of a silhouette, as it is vital. VITAL. You could be wearing the simplest of outfits, but if you dress correctly to your body proportions and have a bomb silhouette, that is all you need. COS has done a wonderful job with their clothes silhouettes, which is one of the main reasons why I will be investing in them this spring. My sister Sydney tried on their funnel-neck bomber, and I was so sad when she didn't take it home with her (maybe I'll have to order it instead… don't tell her).

In an effort to try and shop on a budget, I will be sticking with perusing online consignment stores. I mention second-hand shopping a lot in my articles, but truly, it is the best way to find a bang for your buck. The RealReal is my personal form of social media, and I am constantly on the hunt for a unique piece at a cost-effective price. Sometimes you have to commit when shopping their website due to the wide variety they offer, but one thing I've found super helpful is the different style edits that they put together—wanting a Dries or Jacquemus piece for under $200? A timeless spring trench? An outfit for an upcoming wedding? TheRealReal has just the style board and spring piece for you.

Last but certainly not least, another brand offering solid spring wardrobe essentials that are affordable (and sustainable) is none other than my recent favorite: Quince. I began looking into this brand when trying to find a genuine leather black work tote that wasn't over $500. When I came across Quince's website and found the perfect black tote (the Italian Leather Triple Compartment Shopper Tote), I was shocked that I hadn't bought from them sooner. They have a great selection of cashmere, silk, and linen basics for a dangerously good price - dangerous for my wallet - and value not compromising quality for a low cost with their direct-to-consumer model. I love their cashmere tee, oxford shirts, and short trench coats; they are just a few of the many pieces I have my eyes on. Quince's sustainability efforts and ethical supply chain practices are also noteworthy, especially in a world where getting clothing on a budget can often lead to shopping in fast fashion. Quince, I love you.

The sun is out, spirits are high, and dressing for this season just got a whole lot more exciting. I hope you feel a little more relieved like I do, and now we can all take a collective deep breath. There's no better time than now to hit the refresh button on our wardrobes with some new spring pieces, and I wish you all the best of luck in your fashion endeavors. Happy shopping!
