Olivia Seals - Ambassador Spotlight
Tell us about yourself!
I’m an apparel merchandising major here at Auburn and I am minoring in business. I’m from Birmingham, Alabama. I love fashion, beauty, Jesus, my friends + family and my dog Willow. My favorite designers are Givenchy & Chanel. Audrey Hepburn is my fashion idol.
What does your dream job in fashion look like?
Being in the fashion industry, there are so many incredible opportunities available! It is so hard for me to choose and narrow it down to one field. If I had to choose, I would say that after working apparel markets, I have fallen in love with the wholesale industry. I also love content creation, so that would be fun as well. I currently work for Sheila Fajl and get to be involved in the wholesale side of their business as well as content creation, so I’m basically living out my dream job already!
What inspired you to study fashion in college & why?
I was a business major and just not happy with what I was studying or what jobs I was going to be applying for. It did teach me valuable lessons, but I wasn’t passionate. My great grandmother was very into fashion, art, and designing clothes and I think that’s where my love of fashion and art came from. I was sharing lots of fashion content on Instagram while I was still a marketing major, and my friends convinced me to change majors to something that would make me happier. Changing my major to apparel merchandising was the best decision I’ve ever made!
What inspired you to get involved with SWATCH?
When I changed my major to apparel merchandising I wanted to get as involved with other people in my major as I could. I love meeting new like minded people! I found out what SWATCH was through AMDA, read the magazine, and thought it was so cool! I knew I had to get involved, so when I heard they were looking for ambassadors I applied right away. This is my second semester as a SWATCH ambassador and I’ve loved being part of SWATCH so much!
