Checking in at Guest in Residence

Checking in at Guest in Residence

This year, Gigi Hadid launched her new brand Guest In Residence, a cashmere collection ranging from socks to coveralls in a variety of colors. She was inspired by the fact that with the right care, cashmere can last for decades. She had a turtleneck sweater given to her by her mother and a cardigan given to her by her father, both made of cashmere, and they gave her a sense of home whenever she wore them. To this day these items are still in her closet.

Hadid spent three years creating her collection, Guest In Residence, recently launched in September of this year, and has already seen substantial success. The versatility of her clothes and wide product assortment sets her apart. In the development process, she put an emphasis on creating high quality garments that could become heirlooms. Her passion for the longevity of her products is evident in the materials and her devotion to the brand. When asked what Guest In Residence meant, Hadid said, “We are guests on this planet and in our bodies. Guests in our clothes. Guests when we travel or step out of our comfort sone. We can even feel like guests to ourselves, navigating life while learning who we are. The one guarantee as a guest is that your trip isn’t permanent. Therefore, time is a guest’s ultimate luxury.”

At https://guestinresidence.com/ you can shop her full collection of Womens/Unisex and Mens/Unisex garments. The wide range of styles welcomes all, whether you have owned cashmere before or not. On the site you can go to the “Cashmere Guide” for instructions on how to care for and store your garment. Gigi Hadid set out to make cashmere more accessible and appreciated and she has done just that.
