Meet Hannah Currens
SWATCH’s very first Author of the Month for February
Hannah earned the February Author of the Month Spotlight as the winner of our SWATCH Workshop Competition. The article that she submitted was selected as the winner unanimously among the SWATCH staff. You will be able to read it in our upcoming Spring/Summer 2021 issue of the magazine, so stay tuned!
Tell us a little about yourself!
I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I chose to come to Auburn because the second I stepped on campus, it felt like home. I knew throughout high school that I wanted to study fashion in college, so the CADS program here was another factor that contributed to my decision. On campus, I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, a Morale Captain for Auburn University Dance Marathon, and a Student Ambassador for CHS.
What are your future career goals?
My future career goals are to either work in public relations or social media marketing for a fashion brand. A creative director is another option that has been interesting to me lately. Any job that would allow me to be creative and express my passion for the fashion industry!
How has being involved in SWATCH and AMDA benefited you?
SWATCH and AMDA have benefited me by allowing me to dive deeper into the fashion industry and learn about different opportunities that the industry provides. It has also been a great way to showcase my creative side and personal style.
