3 Fashion Inclusive Brands You Should Support

3 Fashion Inclusive Brands You Should Support

Diversity and inclusivity have been hot topics amongst the fashion industry in recent years, and most can agree that it is something this industry really needs to work on. Unfortunately, many brands have faced backlash due to their lack of diversity and inclusivity, and this has tremendously hurt businesses. However, there are many emerging and popular fashion businesses and brands that do a great job at acknowledging the lack of inclusivity among the fashion industry, and they have made strong efforts to combat this. Here are three of the best inclusive fashion brands you should support:

1) Savage x Fenty

Savage x Fenty has been on the rise within just the past few years and is currently one of the most inclusive brands in the fashion industry in regards to size as well as diversity. Rihanna has made it her goal to deconstruct the rules of fashion through her brands and make the industry a more unique and welcoming place. As you scroll through your Instagram feed, it is likely that you will come across influencers and models of all sizes, genders, and colors posing inSavage X lingerie. Additionally, Rihanna puts on an annual Savage X lingerie show with Amazon Prime. This show is incredible and awesome to watch, not just to see the models but also the performances, creativity, and diversity exhibited throughout. Rihanna ensured that her target consumers would be widely represented in the show and that the pieces presented are high quality, comfortable, and desired. Rihanna is doing fashion correctly with Savage x Fenty; in fact, many companies should follow in her footsteps. I am so excited to see how Rihanna continues to evolve and dominate the fashion industry through Savage X Fenty.

Reformation is one of the hottest sustainable fashion clothing brands on the racks right now, and it is also very conscious of its inclusivity in the industry. They recently implemented a “permanent inclusive” sizing collection after seeing how well their denim line was received with a large variety of sizes. They extended their sizes from 14 to 24 and 1X-3X, and these collections are available now. This is a step in the right direction for the brand and will hopefully encourage other brands to take a look at how they can be more inclusive to all shapes and sizes.

Girlfriend Collective is another fabulous, sustainable brand that excels at both size, inclusivity, and diversity. Girlfriend Collective offers activewear in a plethora of simple, yet elegant colors with sizing up to 6X. In addition to this, their models are of all sizes, ages, and ethnicities- something that is often unheard of for activewear brands. Girlfriend Collective also emphasizes sustainable manufacturing and the use of eco friendly materials. Girlfriend Collective is a great example of a brand that is all inclusive and beneficial to the environment, and others in this industry should take note.

Savage x Fenty, Reformation, and Girlfriend Collective are perfect examples of positive movement in the fashion industry. Inclusivity and diversity is something the fashion industry as a whole should put more work into, but the efforts to do so are definitely growing. There are many brands available to support that make diversity and inclusivity a priority, and I encourage you to check them out.
