Designers I Have Been Obsessed With Lately

Designers I Have Been Obsessed With Lately

Living in Italy for the past two months, I’ve had the opportunity to visit and admire a handful of designer stores in Rome and Milan. Just by walking in and eyeing the clothes, accessories, bags, and store design, I am extremely inspired in my own creative expressions pertaining to fashion. Each store can spark a unique emotion within the customer and create its own sensory experience from entering and browsing the store. After experiencing this myself, I have become even more obsessed with the following brands.

Alexander McQueen is the perfect combination of classic and edgy. Specifically, the evening wear and bags caught my eye at the Milan store. The pieces are so detailed and carefully crafted it's almost impossible not to fall in love with the look. The soft curve and curve bags especially have a remarkable design that intrigues me.

I have never been into a Maison Margiela store before, and I was definitely not disappointed. The store design is impeccable, not something I would have ever expected. A glass enclosed bathroom intended for use, a permanent egg placed on the floor, and old phones charging on the floor under the racks of clothing adds a unique element to the feel of the store.

One of my most favorite designers is Vivienne Westwood and visiting her storefront in Milan just amplified my fascination for her brand and designs. The clothing itself combines exquisite patterns and textures to create a dynamic, distinctive look that I am just absolutely obsessed with. The Vivienne Westwood orb logo is seen all throughout the store in a tasteful way, such as a light fixture and incorporated into the decor. A breathtaking dress from the wedding collection is displayed in the store for customers to gaze in awe.
