Creating a 2025 Vision Board
A new year is the perfect opportunity for self-reflection, goal setting, and getting motivated. At the start of every year, I love to curate a vision board that reflects what I want my year to look like. My board incorporates where I see myself in my college career, my relationships with my friends and family, my travels, my style, and positive affirmations. I’m excited to share a little bit about how you can create a board for yourself, as well as to share my personal 2025 vision board!
To start your board, figure out what’s important to you this year. Are you planning a big trip? Do you want to start healthy habits? Is there a new hobby you want to learn? You can focus on as many areas of your life as you want to. Once you’ve decided on what you want your board to represent, you can source inspiration. My go-to for sourcing inspiration is Pinterest. However, you can also search magazines, Instagram, or your own camera roll. You also need to decide if you will be making a digital vision board or a physical vision board. While I love the idea of both, I personally make a digital board using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Canva is another great option for a digital vision board. Physical vision boards provide an opportunity to be creative. You can get crafty with a scrapbook style board, or create it on a corkboard and pin pictures. With a physical board you can even add personal mementos such as notes, tickets, and fabric swatches. When your vision board is complete, find the perfect place for you to see it throughout the year. I would suggest hanging it up in your room, or using it as a lockscreen on your computer or iPad.
For my 2025 vision board, pictured below, I incorporated a picture of London, where I’ll be visiting in the Spring. I included images of style and aesthetic inspiration for the year. I also selected quotes that I found inspiring. I selected a picture of a designer which reflects my college career and internship I am trying for this summer. The overall vibe of the board will hopefully translate into my life for 2025!
