Career Senior Editor - Staff Spotlight

Meet Meg Maddox! She will be a junior this upcoming school year studying apparel merchandising and is serving as our Senior Career Editor for SWATCH. Meg is an important part of our staff and we are excited to work with her this year on the blog and magazines. Tell us about yourself! 

My name is Meg Maddox, and I’m from Dothan, Alabama. I’m a rising junior who is double majoring in Apparel Merchandising and Marketing. I am so excited to be the Career Senior Editor for SWATCH!!

What does your dream job in fashion look like?

My dream job in fashion would be to move to Europe, preferably Paris, and work for luxury brands. I would love to help with pop-up shops and fashion shows. 

What inspired you to study fashion in college & why?

I switched to a fashion major during the summer before my sophomore year. Before then, I was not sure what I wanted to do but I did know I loved working retail. Luckily, the store’s apparel merchandiser and buyer were kind enough to sit down with me and introduce me to the career side of fashion. I have always loved fashion, and I am so happy that I learned how to make a career of it!

What are you most excited about for SWATCH this upcoming school year?

I am most excited about assisting with the magazines this year! I loved looking through the past ones, and am beyond grateful to be able to work on the upcoming issues.
