The 8 Standout Fashion Campaigns of Fall/Winter 2022

Fall must be fashion’s favorite season. Brands this season offered stunning collections and notable ad campaigns to go with them. Here is a list of some of my favorite fashion campaigns for Fall/Winter 2022. 

Coach went to the streets to showcase their Fall/Winter collection in collaboration with Mint + Serf. Through featuring models sourced from street casting, this playful campaign embraced the beauty of spontaneity, by snapshots of heartfelt moments between both friends and lovers. Photographer Juergen Teller exquisitely captures Mint + Serf’s vision for this collection which was inspired by the dynamism of New York. 

Loewe showcased their Fall/Winter collection in a campaign shot by British fashion photographer David Sims. Models are shown atop giant pumpkins, wearing none other than the beautifully crafted fall collection from Loewe. The campaign highlights the Goya puffer bag, a staple throughout the fall collection. This campaign alludes to the brand's love for surrealism and perfectly nails their eccentric aesthetic.  

Coperni is back in the news. After their show stopping performance from Paris Fashion Week, where model Bella Hadid was spray painted into a dress, Copreni launched their Fall/Winter campaign. Rather than casting the traditional supermodel, this campaign features some of the world’s cutest models; babies. Shot by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, babies are seen amongst the brand’s staple Swipe Bag, conveying designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant’s vision of expressing “youth and its evolution”. 

Prada’s Fall/Winter 22 campaign, “Prada Stories,” is inspired by Prada’s models themselves. Starring Kendall Jenner, Hunter Schafer, Sora Choi, Lina Zhang, Liya Kebede, Kai Newman, Loli Bahia, and Amanda Murphy. This campaign captures these women alongside still lifes of objects that are seemingly unrelated, yet truly reflect an important story from each of their lives. Shot through the lens of David Sims, this campaign embodies the significance of human experience and individuality. 

Moschino's Fall 2022 campaign is an ode to classic glamour. Steven Meisel photographs black and white portraits of models among various objects with a couture twist, brought to you by the mind of creative director Jeremy Scott.

Gucci brings fashion to the cinematic world for their Fall/Winter campaign. Models are seen posing in various scenes from classic movies, most notably The Shining, directed by Stanley Kubrick. Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, claims that he has always seen his collections as films. Captured by Mert & Marcus, the cross between film and fashion illustrates the importance of storytelling. Alessandro Michele notes, “it’s the story of the human that dwells in each and every one of us."

Blumarine emulates bold femininity for their Fall/Winter fashion campaign. Shot by Petra Collins, this campaign screams all things dramatic and cinematic.  

Stella McCartney Fall/Winter campaign stars Sadie sink, who depicts a young Stella, “she and I have so much in common in our love of nature and Earth’s animals, but also a shared sense of empathy and ethics in how we live our lives.” says McCartney. Shot by photographer Theo Wenner at The Ranch, in Montauk, New York, Sink is seen posing with horses, in front of artist Frank Stella’s sculptures, and frolicking in a field to the song “Live and Let Die” by Stella’s father, Paul Mccartney. This campaign is deeply personal and explores the designer's personality, while simultaneously alluding to her brand’s ethics on being vegan and cruelty-free.
