Dupe or Don't: Dyson Airwrap

The Dyson Airwrap has taken the internet by storm and given every girl who dreams of bouncy hair major FOMO. By “every girl” I mean me. A hairdryer that can dry your hair in minutes and style it? Count me in. The six hundred dollar price tag though? Count me out. I immediately became determined to find a replica that could produce similar results at a fraction of the price. After some serious searching on the web and hours of reading reviews, I decided on this product.  

I was feeling risky so I ordered this dupe off of aliexpress.com. I know, scary right? For a website that can be such a hit or miss we really hit it out of the park with this one. After my purchase, the item shipped within a few days and was delivered in about two weeks which is pretty fast considering the circumstances. I was a little nervous when I opened the package because the box had a few dents and bumps on it, but once I opened it up I had nothing to worry about. The product came with every attachment included and was literally exactly what I ordered. I was thrilled. 

Now for the most important part: how well does it work? For a dupe I paid about $50 for it exceeded my expectations. Each of the attachments worked just like they were supposed to and I felt like each one was actually useful. The downside to this dupe is that it doesn’t have the same power as the real Dyson Airwrap which is to be expected for about five hundred dollars less. The heat is not always consistent but this hair dryer still was able to dry and style my hair in less than thirty minutes, and for a girl with super thick hair that is like a new record time. I was worried that the curling attachments didn’t work but I am 99% sure that was a user error because since then I have gotten much better at it.  

Overall I would say this is an absolute must-have. My hair is bouncier and healthier than ever for a reasonable price so I can’t complain. Will I still buy a real Airwrap? Maybe one day for a “big girl purchase”, but this styler gets the job done. The final results of this episode of “Dupe or Don’t”: ABSOLUTELY DUPE!
